Our dog is around 12 years old and got pregnant on accident. But it seems like the vet really pushes for spay instead of any possible complication in bringing puppies into this world.
We took our dog to this clinic today and the let us know she had cancer in her mammary glands and encouraged us to have her spayed! This includes aborting the pups she is pregnant with and removing 3 or 4 glands at a cost of well over $600.
